Hi there! I'm Emily Tabora, a current Sophomore majoring in Digital Media at Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Apart from majoring in digital media, I am a first-year reference and social media staffer for the nationally recognized and award-winning Marquee Yearbook at Dreyfoos.

As a social media staffer, I create graphics for posts with valuable information the student body can associate themselves with. By creating graphics, I am able to practice my graphic design skills as well as endeavor into the world of marketing. By assisting in this process, I am able to see what content the student body prefers to see, which overall helps out the demographics of the account. Being apart of the social media staff has come in handy when working in reference. With the practice I do for graphic design, I'm able to help create the way coverage for reference is designed and placed into pages for the yearbook, which is exciting and rewarding when you see your name right next to who designed the small section.

As a reference staffer, I help plan important days that the school partakes in. Days like Club Photo Day are extremely busy; however, getting to see all the work that goes into these days is eye-opening and I'm so thankful for the experience. Interviewing people for reference coverage is great because you're able to meet so many new people whom you may have never associated yourself with. For me, it sparks new connections as I enjoy talking to people and finding out new facts about them.

Outside of my major and publication, I do photography for sports and events while also managing multiple social media accounts on Instagram such as @petrichor_gazette, @dalikamagazine, @kaylynscustoms, and @emilytaboraphotography. Additionally, I participate in the world of All-Star Competitive cheer, which has given me a home outside of school and has provided me with countless opportunities.
